The National Centre Presents: Joan Richardson and Janet Wain - Blue Garden
The National Centre Presents... is an annual exhibition that has been specially developed to support, encourage and nurture creative talent from our immediate locality. Each year artists or artists' groups from across Lincolnshire are invited to apply for a six-month development opportunity, to work with the artistic team at the National Centre for Craft & Design to curate a prestigious exhibition. This opportunity extends artistic portfolio and further develops professional practice.
This January, The National Centre Presents…Joan Richardson and Janet Wain. Textile practitioners Richardson and Wain have used this opportunity to further explore the influence of the written word on textile practice, taking the poem ‘Blue Garden’ by Rowland Fade as their starting point.
